Where to buy Kanebo Lunasol makeup

I previously wrote on my main site about Kanebo launching their Lunasol brand in Malaysia.

As of now, until further notice, this makeup brand is exclusively found at Isetan Lot 10, Kuala Lumpur. My guess is that they are testing the market to see what the reception is like.

I’ve had my Skin Modelling eyeshadow quad and lipstick for more than a month now. I’ve used it quite often, quite to my surprise, but mostly only for days when I want a neutral look, where the makeup looks understated. I will update once I know of any other locations you can find this brand at.

Malaysia Mega Sale Carnival 2007

The Malaysian Mega Sale Carnival 2007 is back.

This nationwide sale runs from now until 2 September 2007. I’m a little late in jumping on the bandwagon, but better late than never eh? :)

Many stores are already on sale with many promotions. I’ve heard that some of the deals are good, although I’ve been honestly, too busy to go out and about to every mall. If you are a visitor, this is usually a good time to hit the shopping areas for some great deals.

The Malaysia Mega Sale Carnival happens every year between June-August so if you miss it this time round, never fret. There’s still next year to come!

Strawberrynet - your discount beauty store

Let me start my shopping site with a recommendation for StrawberryNET.com.

Strawberrynet is an online store based in Hong Kong, that sells discounted beauty and skincare products of many popular brands.

Their main attraction is that they ship their products worldwide for free. That’s right, no charges whatsoever. They also mark your package as a gift which is useful for customs. If you find that you have been taxed by customs for your purchase, contact the company and they will refund you the tax. Great service!

The items for sale are sometimes older lines or older collections but for makeup, I don’t find that a bother. I have not personally bought skincare off them because I’ve found that their skincare prices are quite high compared to prices in store here.

Do be aware of your prices before you purchase from them though. Sometimes depending on exchange rates, the prices at Strawberrynet may be higher than what you get in your local stores.

Every month, StrawberryNET.com does a special purchase or sale on selected items, which can work out to great savings. I tend to purchase most of my items then because the prices at 50% off are usually hard to beat. Also, if you purchase from them and register your email address with them, you get loyalty discounts for future purchases. These discounts increase with each purchase and go up to a maximum of 10%. This loyalty discount goes on top of the usual 5% off purchases of 3 items, and goes on top of discounted prices!

I’ve never had problems with them so far. The products I’ve received are exactly what I expected and they come in a nice box tied with lavender ribbon. Very pretty and very professional. If you run into problems, email them or call them. They are quite helpful.

All about shopping!

This site is actually an off-shoot from My Women Stuff, which is the main domain to capture my likes and dislikes as a woman. In between, I would write stuff related to my shopping experiences, but I felt that it was jumbling up the site a little.

My Women Stuff used to be mostly about product reviews of beauty and skincare products, which I had tried. Then, because I love bags, and that is part of fashion, I had to include a fashion segment. I felt that adding another shopping dimension would take it a tad too far off tangent.

So, All about Shopping! is born. This will be my site to talk about the various shopping experiences I’ve had both online and in store. If I’ve had a good encounter, I’d write about it here. Ditto if I’ve had a bad encounter. I believe that as consumers, we have a right not to be cowed by the sales people at the stores, and the sales people must learn not to be unpleasent to customers else they shouldn’t be in sales.
