Lumiere Mineral Cosmetics - Free International Shipping!

Oh I love the Lumiere Mineral powder foundation. I love it so much I’m using it practically every day! That is saying a lot for someone who used to hate using mineral foundation because I found it too much hassle.

So, I was very happy to receive an email from Lumiere Cosmetics informing me that they are offering FREE SHIPPING for international customers! (They have removed the requirement for a code) This promotion is valid from 1 November 2007 to 1 January 2008.

I am keen to try their Winter 2007 special of Seasons Gleaming because it gives me an opportunity to try their eyeshadows too. I hear they are quite good. And I would probably restock my foundation in a full size 12g tub. I previously bought the 4g tub (20 uses) and its lasted me months. I will take my time to plan my purchases. I have 2 whole months to place my order and qualify for free shipping - woohoo! :)

Giordano warehouse sale - my thoughts

I saw in the newspapers about the Giordano warehouse sale and also read about it on Shoppingnsales (where the picture comes from).

I like the Giordano warehouse sale. It allows me to restock my casual wardrobe for low low prices. In fact, during the last Giordano warehouse sale, I spent a mere RM120 and got a ton of stuff!

But when I went for the recent sale which is on from Oct 30 to Nov 4 2007, I was very very disappointed.

  1. The selection was very dismal. Most of it were stuff from previous sales which did not sell and choice was very limited.
  2. Prices were higher.

I walked away with a pair of cropped pants for RM29 which is cheap in the big scheme of things, but not as cheap as it used to be at the Giordano warehouse sale. I’d just sit this one out to be honest.

What I got from the Lancome warehouse sale

I haven’t been doing a lot of warehouse sale-ing. But I couldn’t pass up the chance to go to the Lancome warehouse sale which is on today and tomorrow. I haven’t been for a cosmetics sale in a while, plus I was meeting up with a friend there.

Anyway, this is all I ended up with from the sale. 3 tubes of Biotherm Sunfitness 50SPF sunscreen (not all mine) and a tube of Flextencils mascara in brown. I really like the Flextencils mascara which I have reviewed. I hear its already discontinued so I decided to only get 1 tube. Mascara dries up fast and I didn’t want to run the risk of having old stock on hand.

The Flextencils mascara cost RM50 (RRP RM90) and the Biotherm Sunfitness sunscreen cost RM40 a tube (RRP RM85). Not super duper cheap, but still lots of savings.

If you are familiar with the Lancome warehouse sales, I have to say that this one is rather small. The only makeup they have is by Lancome (lipsticks, juicy tubes, eyeshadows, palettes, foundation, blushes) and Biotherm foundation and makeup base (RM70). They have lots of Lancome and Biotherm skincare and a smallish selection of perfumes.

I’d say this is the smaller Lancome warehouse sale as opposed to the large one which usually has Shu Uemura and Giorgio Armani cosmetics on hand as well as loads and loads of perfumes. But if you are a Lancome or Biotherm skincare and cosmetics user, this would be a good sale to hit. :)
