Coach Outlets Memorial Day Sale
I didn’t know it was Memorial Day in the USA until a friend who’s presently living there told me. And she also told me that she was headed to the Coach outlet stores for their Memorial Day sale!
I quickly cobbled together a short wishlist (we don’t want to burden friends do we?) and yesterday, I had a piece of happy news! She actually picked up something from my list!
In all the crowds she found one item I was looking for and got it for me at such a hefty discount I was impressed!
I’m not going to say what yet, except that its not a bag. None of the ones I wanted were available. I wanted the Coach Sabrina:-
It looks a little aunty and I can’t remember what it looks like in store but I thought the bright colours were cute.
Now, I want to hit up a Coach outlet too!
Have you tried qi gong?
On Sundays, there’s this fitness / health programme on tv that really bugs me yet I sometimes watch it because there’s nothing else on
I remember last week, they featured a qi gong session where this man would direct his “qi” towards various part of a person’s body that causes them to vibrate and shake and shiver in quite a scary manner.
I somehow felt sceptical about it – it looked a little corny because all the participants do is stand there and shake or vibrate. They aren’t even doing anything like Kettlebell workouts or aerobics or any form of exercise. Just vibrating. And its supposed to be good for you.
I don’t know… have you tried it? The place was somewhere in KL – I coudln’t catch the name. I guess until and unless its tried on me and I feel it for myself, I”m going to always be sceptical about it.
Sleepwear that cost a pretty penny!

I was at Metrojaya MidValley last week when I saw they have a new section with Laura Ashley home furnishings, home decorations and clothes. I was quite surprised to see Laura Ashley being sold in Metro – somehow I never expected them to go into department stores this way. I’d seen their stand alone stores in KLCC but never went in because I only associate them with curtains for some reason. It might be all that chintz.
Anyway, I was looking at their clothes (there were some really hefty discounts available) but I couldn’t get any because most of those on sale were of larger sizes. (See, there’s no real reason to take diet pills when you can easily find nice clothes to suit you!)
I did see a lovely silk pair of pyjamas. Luxurious white silk with black lace trim camisole and cropped pants. IN. MY. SIZE!
Problem: Price before discount was RM389 and it was 10% off.
Sorry mate! That’s too much to pay even for me the pyjama queen! LOL… Would you pay?
Metrojaya brochure was wrong

So a friend and I decided to share in some purchases so we can get the gift with purchase for Estee Lauder. In the brochure, for pre-sale members day, we saw that the gifts with purchase were available for purchases RM350 and up and additional gifts at RM480.
When my friend went to purchase the items we wanted, she was told instead that the thresholds were RM320 and RM450 and not as printed. It made me wonder how they could have made such an error. Ok so it makes you want to buy more than you should but I guess if you are already buying something you want/need then its ok but not if it prompts you to buy more just to hit the mark.
That said, the gifts were pretty decent stuff and quite generous samples. I was quite impressed. I didn’t go for the presale but I might go towards the end of the sale when they have their Blue Advantage markdowns… or is that Blue Cross mark downs?
I can’t remember.
