Thinking of upgrades

Nice! now that micro sd cards are getting cheaper by the day, it might be time to upgrade the 1G card I have in my phone. I only use micro SDs in my phone anyway – and the biggest bummer is that I had a 1G card in my old phone that got stolen!
Anyway, since techy stuff are now so cheap I’m going to hunt me down something larger so I can store more photos on my phone. Its suddenly getting handy having a phone that takes good high quality pictures! I wonder if it can handle a 2 or 4G card
Banks should reduce paper
Banks should reduce paper. Yep! Especially when they send you credit card statements.
Credit card statements usually come with lots of other junk mailers advertising life insurance quotes, promotions, free supplementary cards etc… and the only things I ever glance at are the food promotions. Even then, I usually look at them, see if there’s anything interesting, find out there’s none and bin it.
So really since most of the promotions are already available online banks should think about reducing the amount of paper they send us. On the other hand, we could just sell the whole lot to the recycling people LOL…
Sales on precious stones
Would you pick up your engagement rings at a diamond sale? Or would you rather go to a jewelry store, sit down and have the sales people explain it to you?
I was just wondering because I see advertisements for diamond sales off and on and they say things like 80% off! It makes it all sound like an excellent deal but the sceptic in me balks at going for these sales for fear that I might firstly be pressured into buying something because it looks cheap and secondly that I might end up with a fake or cheap stone instead of what it professes to be.
I guess its not something everyone else fears because I hear such sales or fairs are quite well trafficked!
Airasia All in one Fares

Have we seen the end of the “Free Ticket” days of Airasia? These days, they have implemented All in One fares so what you see is now what you pay.
No more hidden charges or surprises when you book a RM0 fare ticket and suddenly find yourself having to pay RM300 for a return ticket to Hong Kong. I did pick up some good travel deals the last time they ran those promotions but the most recent one involved travel in 2010.
Goodness! I don’t even know what I’ll be doing next week much less in 2010! Do you find the all in one fares helpful for you? I do. At least I know now exactly how much my “free air ticket” will cost and decide if its worth it.
