Back up your blog
I’d been blogging for a while and never had any real scares *touch wood* but when I recently realised that my wordpress backup plugin did not seem to be working I panicked.
I don’t want all my hard work over the past years to go down the drain! I’m not sure if my server has online backup I’m sure they do. I’m not taking chances however.
These days, I do a manual back up of the database first thing in the morning. I have to figure out a way to save it somewhere though – maybe a flash drive. That way if my server and computer crash, I’m still ok
Dont forget your pet

If you’re pumping up your immune system to beat the H1N1 flu with vitamins and supplements, have you fed your pet supplements too?
Now pets aren’t susceptible to H1N1 flu… well not unless they are birds. I think the last recorded case was a bird that got infected by humans. Either way, most good pet owners will tell you that pets need supplements too to stay strong and healthy. You can usually get them from vets or pet stores. So don’t neglect your pet!
Health insurance companies are so clever
Some health insurance cover H1N1 now, or so I read in the papers. Some insurance companies have capitalized on the recent flu scare to offer insurance coverage if you are hospitalized for H1N1 which I think is credible even if they are taking advantage of the situation.
I’m not sure of the premiums payable though or if its a long term insurance coverahe or like a NC short term health insurance which covers you annually or for a few months.
Since the H1N1 flu isn’t likely to go away any time soon, it might be worth considering if the price of the premiums are right. I’d reckon if you fall into any of the high risk groups, your premiums could sky rocket. I’ll have to do some research and see how it is.
Space out your gift shopping
Never too early to shop for Christmas!
Are you taking advantage of the mega sale to shop for Christmas? I konw Hari Raya is just about a month away, but you know how it is – before you know it, you’re running around paying top dollar for gifts and scouring the city for PS3 when you could have bought them early and stored them away to be wrapped up as gifts later.
Thats what I do anyway. I shop in advance for birthdays and Christmas so I take advantage of sales and special deals and I try to never pay top dollar for anything! With the sales happening so often these days, its not hard to take advantage of them and the other benefit is that you don’t end up broke at the end of the year!
