Organizing the closet
Organizing or rather, RE organizing the closet is a mammoth task I undertake at least once a year. Its a good time to sort through what can still be worn, what should be tossed and “Oh my goodness! I’d forgotten about that one!” yes, finding new clothes in your closet
I did that this past long Raya weekend instead of doing something exciting like… Oh I don’t know… going on Branson vacations perhaps? Unforgiving task to carry out but ultimately fulfilling as I can now open the doors to my closet without the fear of clothes falling down around my ears. Oh and I also found a brand new wardrobe without spending a sen! How about that for frugality?
Yes it hurts bad :P
I recently hurt my toe by being partly careless and partly attributing it to my footwear of the time which was the unfortunately ugly crocs. I slipped on a puddle of water and although I did not fall I did twist my toe which on hindsight might not have been a better thing. It was like as though tv stands fell on it and I know how that feels!
The thing is that the last time a tv stand fell on my toe, it bruised but healed quickly. This time, its taking forever. At this rate I’m going to have to do something about my work footwear. I’ll need some nicer looking open toe sandals or flats! Hurrah!
Selling of information
Everytime I get a call from the call center of some random bank that I do not bank with I get mildly… ok VERY irritated. I swear our personal information is being sold and resold over and over to every marketeer, bank, insurance company out there.
Thank you I have enough credit cards, insurance, health plans. What bugs me also is the pushing of various credit card facilities like balance transfers. This at a time when the government is trying to reduce credit card debt. Ironic!
Selamat Hari Raya
I met up with some friends for “Buka Puasa” last week. A bit late, but better late than never! They were telling me about how fasting for a month has its ups and downs. On the one hand, it could work better than the best weight loss pills.
On the other hand, the amount of food they get at the breaking of fast might just undo whatever good. Everyone agreed however that the lack was water throughout the day was what played havoc most with their intentions.
Well that’s all over now for today is the last day of Ramadhan. Now only a month’s worth of feasting to celebrate this!
Selamat Hari Raya
