Not about sales but about shopping

Lavender Pillow helps sleep

I was recently gifted with a lavender filled pillow and how timely too! I’ve been having some trouble sleeping (I go through bouts of this) and I found the lavender pillow a nice little sleep aid.

It helps that I like the smell of lavender. I used to drop lavender oils on a piece of tissue before this to help me go off to dreamland. But with a lavender pillow, I don’t have to now – I can just turn around, sniff the pillow and drop off like a shot.

You can purchase them from Bioessentials.

Sweet dreams!

L’Oreal Luxury Sales are back

Most shopaholics would know by now that the L’Oreal Luxury warehouse sales are back – just for 1 day tomorrow 31 October 2009 at Parkroyal Hotel Kuala Lumpur.

Its a good time to shop for holiday gifts – fragrance sets are always popular as well as perhaps stock up on skincare. Brands to be found at the sale include Shu Uemura, Lancome, Biotherm, Polo Ralph Lauren fragrances and a whole host of other brands.

I’m not going but from previous experience – go early 8am is advisable so you get in quickly and get your stuff before it sells out. The queues will be long so wait your turn, don’t push and don’t say you weren’t warned!

Have fun!

Save on Christmas Trees

Picture from laffy4k

Its never too early to shop for artificial christmas trees… if the stores have them in stock! Actually it might be too early if its not yet out in stores.

If you can wait, you can actually get discounts on Christmas trees closer to Christmas. That’s also true of the real trees brought in by some supermarkets and notably Ikea. The closer you get to Christmas, the cheaper tree and ornaments become.

You don’t get the pick of the lot that’s for sure but if you aren’t fussy then its worth the wait. :)

Evil!

Do you get bothered by insurance companies that offer you unsolicited insurance? They could call it anything – top up insurance, rider insurance or what have you but the point is that they want you to keep buying more and more and paying more and more. Sigh…

I got my premium renewal reminder and on it was tagged an insurance policy for medical treatment that I did not request for. It wasn’t Medicare supplement insurance but some in house insurance. Thing is I already have more than enough insurance – insurance I would mostly not benefit from in the event anything happens to me.

I swear these insurance companies are evil :P
