Maxis Iphone 3GS
I can’t believe the speed at which software development takes place these days. Or is it just the snail speed at which we get the latest gadgets?
not long after Maxis brought in the iPhone officially, they launched the iPhone 3GS which has video recording functions and cut and paste functions amongst others. Apparently it is not only more “canggih” it is also faster in terms of speed.
So they took years to bring in the iPhone and when they did, they replaced it within months. Felt positively sorry for the blokes who jumped on the bandwagon right at the outset!
camcorder or digital camera?
I saw a tourist using a camcorder recently and was curious. Do people still buy camcorders and if they do, why? How many people actually watch their holiday vacations or do they use it to record videos for youtube?
I was thinking about it because these days digital cameras too have a video recording function which is limited only by the space on your memory card. So, is there still a need for camcorders?
simple alarm systems
Whilst home alarm systems might be lost on the majority of those who live in high rise buildings, the need for personal safety and security is still paramount.
I came across some simple gadgets recently that could serve the purpose:-
- door stopper alarms – emit a noise when door is opened and it is released
- window vibration alarms – emit a noise when window is rattled or opened
- grilles – yes the humble grille prevents shoes from being stolen
There have been a few incidences of shoes being stolen recently but that is about as extensive a damage that we face where I live. I haven’t thought about installing any alarms but I do endeavour to be careful.
