Is the Wii on the way out?
Last Christmas it was all about the Wii from Nintendo. Everyone wanted one and everyone was playing some Wii game or another. I never saw the thrill of faking a bowling game or tennis but to each their own I say!
This year, I don’t hear any hype about the Wii anymore. So is it on its way out? Might it be actually cheaper and easier to find a Wii for Christmas this year? You tell me coz I have no idea! 
Winter coats from Zara
With work piling up I had only LSAT prep I mean Last Minute Prep for my holiday shopping which saw me going to Zara one day to look at winter coats. Happily, its the Fall/Winter collection available in stores now!
So I had a wonderful time trying on loads of gorgeous winter coats and contemplating whether I wanted to pay good money for a coat I’d wear at most once or twice in 2-3 years. Bleh… Being practical sucks eh?
Time for me to move to a seasonal country!
Hotel booking online
What I shop online for most are air tickets and hotel bookings. 2 places I look for hotels are Agoda.com and asiatravel.com both of which serve me well in the Asia or ASEAN region. I don’t know how they’d do for myrtle beach hotels or other European locations, I haven’t tried. I would think that Asiatravel wouldn’t be the best place to look
However, I’ve found that for some countries, like Japan its just easier and sometimes cheaper to book direct from the hotel! Yep. Its a bit of a reversal from western style hotels where its cheaper to book through online agents. I hope I did right though. We’ll have to see once I get there!
The nerve of some telemarketeers!
Gosh! Some telemarketeers are so rude!
Just as I received the phone spam referred to earlier, I got a call from someone speaking Mandarin asking if I was free and telling me they were from a bank and was doing some insurance marketing. Now I can’t speak Mandarin to save my life so I asked who she was repeatedly in English.
She kept asking in Mandarin if I was free to talk and when I said I don’t speak Mandarin, she hung up just like that! No apology, nothing.
She used a mobile number – perhaps I should spam her with all those spam messages I keep getting LOL
