The niece asked for equestrian helmets for Christmas because she’s just taken up horse riding. Golly! Do you realize just how much these helmets cost these days?!
And I don’t even know if its a passing infatuation like her ballet lesson and dance classes, all of which I bought her shoes for and which are now sitting in her cupboard gathering dust.
And as you can probably guess, the silence is due to Christmas shopping. Joy!
Ok ok big secret out of the bag. HB and I are headed to Japan! Whee!! I’m so excited its not funny.
We’re doing it ourselves so no horrid tour guide to tell us what to do etc and although many people are telling us its expensive, we don’t care. Its within budget for us and that’s all matters.
But one of the strangest requests I’ve gotten is from K who asked me to bring her back cell phone accessories because they are apparently dead cute over there. Hmm… new one to me. But I told her I’d try. I’m not about to hunt down every single store I come across. But if I do see any I’d be sure to get her some. She’s been good to me too.
I was shopping for bro’s baby with SIL at the Mothercare sale yesterday and we were just saying how quickly kids these days grow up. Today, we’re shopping for a new car seat and baby buggy. Tomorrow, she’ll be asking us how to get rid of acne fast.
I don’t know about you but I’m finding that time seems to pass so quickly these days. Half the time I’m sitting before the computer reading and working and next thing you know, its dark outside.

Ever since I was aducated to read labels, I’ve been reading them to see what ingredients are contained in the products I use. Many are incomprehensible to me, like acetyl l-carnitine. Do you know what that is? I don’t.
So I looked it up and found out that it is something that occurs naturally in our bodies. Yeah it sure sounds scary doesn’t it? But there are supplements you can take too to help create it. I’m not saying you should, if you don’t need it. Best consult a doctor if you are wondering if you do need it.
