Not about sales but about shopping

Before Christmas I went to pay off my traffic summonses. Fortunately mine were mainly for parking offences not speeding or anything like that. With the discount given it was alright. I got mine done at the post office and there was no queue in sight. Better than a friend of mine who went down to the police station and queued for a day and a half just to pay her summonses! I don’t even know why she didn’t try the post office.

While I was there I also enquired about cheap car insurance they had on offer. Sounds pretty decent, compared to the insurance company i’d been using. And you can do it all at one go at the post office plus renew road tax and all. I think I’ll just use the post office as my one stop center from now. Easier and quicker!

I found, among my gifts yesterday a set of baby clothes. Err hello! Yes I know I’m not quite svelte of late, but its no reason to assume that I’m sporting a baby bump and not just pure fat! :P

I blame it on all the feasting we’ve been doing and will be doing all the way to the New year. Oh wait after that comes Chinese New Year! More feasting! Now I wonder who I can pawn the baby clothes off on. Since we don’t have a returns policy here. Bah what a waste of a good gift :P

I almost regret offering to get home theatre system speakers for HB’s christmas gift. I mean I know they aren’t cheap but he loves such geeky things. And we do have fun staying in watching movies so I do benefit from it. hehe… I wonder if hes going to pick something from the top of the range which might wipe out my savings :P But them I guess I could ask for that Chanel that I’ve been eyeing in return ;)

HB set up some outdoor lighting for the party. Quite clever of him I might add. Saved us a bundle not having to have an electrician in :D We skipped the tent. We have a big enough porch to fit everyone should it rain. And we had the screechy kids blow up the balloons so they were blue in the face. Haah! Take that!
