I just dropped off some documents for document imaging for a project Mr. Boss asked me to handle. I think he only wants me to handle it because he knows I have the contacts where I can get these stuff cheap Haha! Oh well, better to have a project than none I say! I’m going to have to go and pick them up later today. Might treat myself to an ice cream while I’m there – the shop next door sells some of the nicest home made ice cream I’ve had
Here’s something new to me – outdoor fireplaces. Isn’t that most fascinating? I wish we had winter here just so I can have a lovely warm fireplace. I’ve always had a thing for them. As a kid, we used to stay in a bungalow in Cameron Highlands during holidays and there was a fireplace that we’d light up because it did get quite cold at night. I don’t know if they have them anymore but that was fun… even if we did feel roasted.
One of the things I was never quite certain about were steel building but yet, looking at the height of buildings coming up in the city, I’m thinking they are also now employing this technology. I don’t think brick and mortar can take you very high. I read once that it was when steel took off as a construction material, that skyscrapers in New York really mushroomed. I want to go to New York! I want to see these skyscrapers for myself
Maybe that’ll be my birthday pressie!
with insurance premiums sky rocketing as one ages, its good to know that there are things like senior life insurance policies where people can take out a policy when they are older. Some of us don’t really need a life insurance policy if we don’t have descendants. But yet, if you don’t take it out when you are young, you may not be able to afford it when you are older. I guess a policy that addresses this is helpful for those who have kids later in life.
